Since March 2016, there has been a major public engagement on Children's and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) with the development of the new CAMHS service specification reference group consisting of GPs, clinicians from CAMHS, children's social services and school representatives. A new Transformation Plan was developed for the period 2015 to 2016 aimed at integrating CAMHS contact point and Children's Early Help and Safeguarding Hub so that referrals are actioned by the most appropriate service. As part of the transformation process, it is envisaged that the services will share a single point of access and ensure easy referral to the most appropriate service.
The CCG is working in collaboration with NHS England to improve access to inpatient beds focussing on both number of beds and proximity of services in East Riding of Yorkshire.
As of March 2016 update regarding Eating disorder, the CCG dedicated a Nursing Team that was established to support Easting Disorder cases for the East Riding of Yorkshire only.
