Beverley over 55’s walking football

30/05/2017

Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire would like to welcome Beverley Town FC over 55’s walking football team to our brand new Community Partnership.

Walking football is for anyone who wants to play football at a slower pace, traditionally it is played by people aged 50 and over although it isn’t exclusive to this age and is open to anyone. Walking football is great for people who want to continue playing football at a pace that suits them.

Beverley Town FC walking football team train on Tuesday evenings at Longcroft School sports hall between 8pm and 9pm at a cost of £3.00 per session. The sessions are open to anyone with an emphasis on having fun with no commitments. The sessions are open to those under 55 also, and great for the likes of support groups, physio and rehabilitation patients.

Beverley Walking Football Club and its members will now work with Healthwatch East Riding to provide feedback to Healthwatch investigations to help shape the future of service provision across our region.
