St. Andrew’s Open Day.
Healthwatch East Riding of Yorkshire visited the open day for St. Andrews Health and Wellbeing Centre on St. Georges Road in Hull. Humber NHS Foundation Trust has been running its night-time Crisis Pad from the centre for a number of months and is opening throughout the day to offer psychological therapy, Humber Recovery College courses as well as advice and drop-in sessions provided by partner organisations.
The public who attended the open day were offered the chance to take a tour of the building and see the refurbished centre where the new services will offer help with depression, panic, sleep and couple therapy and other services, as well as take part in taster sessions in Tai Chi and art and craft.
Therapists were also on hand to talk about services for veterans and older adults, assistance for people with recurring fatigue and pain management and those who need mental health care at home.
Healthwatch are impressed with the centre and the services offered, and would like to thank the trust for inviting us to the open day.
