As the delivery manager I am here to lead and drive forward the development and delivery of Healthwatch East Riding, supporting the team to carry out their work to capture the views and opinions of our local community; this information can then be used to bring about change or share good practice.
Before joining Healthwatch in December 2019 I have worked in the Voluntary Sector for over twenty years, the last five years working for Age UK in the East Riding, I hope that I can use my skills and knowledge to help make your voice be heard.
As Communications and Engagement Officer my role is to ensure that the residents of East Yorkshire, across all demographic groups, have accessible ways to engage with Healthwatch, and to ensure the effective promotion of Healthwatch through the coordination of communications activity.
With a Marketing and Communications degree and a social media background, I'm keen to use my experience to lead on engagement activity and identify any barriers preventing communities from sharing their views.
I have been working in the voluntary sector for over 10 years. As Volunteer Coordinator, my role is to ensure that Healthwatch East Riding's Volunteers gain the best Volunteering experience and feel part of the Healthwatch Team, getting involved in helping to shape and develop Health and Social Care services in our community.
Whatever their role, I want to give our Volunteers the opportunities to get involved and feel part of the team. Helping Healthwatch to ensure that the voices of patients, service users and their relatives and friends are heard in order to develop and improve health and social care services at a local and national level.
Emily is our Patient Experience Officer and is here to gain the experiences & insights of both patients and the public, ensuring that their voices are heard and listened to. The collection of this feedback helps to identify key patterns and trends, and will contribute to various reports made to highlight patient’s experience on local health services. Emily will also work with the team on engagement activities and help with various projects. Coming from a social science background, Emily has recently completed a Sociology Bsc degree and has a great interest in the use of research methods to gain in-depth individual experience. Emily is excited to use this passion to collect, identify and highlight experiences of health care across an individual, regional and national level.
